Industry knowledge:
Passivation treatment of stainless steel screws
In fact, during the production process of stainless steel screws, such as cold forming process or machining process, the surface of the screw may be stained with iron filings or some relatively small particles generated in the machining process. If these are not removed, it will affect the beauty of the screw surface or may cause the screw to rust.
Generally, passivation surface treatment is required to remove these surface impurities. If the stainless steel screw is passivated, it can not only make the surface of the screw smooth and bright, but also enhance the anti rust ability and corrosion resistance of the screw. Due to different passivation treatments, the salt spray test time that can be passed is different. Some can take more than 24 hours, and some can take more than 1000 hours. This requires the customer to indicate how long the salt spray test needs according to his own use situation. Otherwise, the screw manufacturer will basically treat the screw according to the passivation treatment of this standard.
