Industry knowledge:
316 stainless steel screw is mainly used in food industry and surgical equipment. Adding molybdenum element makes it obtain a special anti-corrosion structure. Compared with 304 stainless steel screw, it has better resistance to chloride corrosion, so it is also used as “marine steel”. 304 stainless steel is composed of ocr18ni9316l, which is austenitic stainless steel; 316 material composition is oocr12mo2ti, is a low carbon stainless steel containing titanium, alkali resistance and acid resistance (except for the medium containing chloride ion). In terms of corrosion resistance, 316 stainless steel screws are better. In terms of price, 316 stainless steel screws are more expensive than 304 stainless steel screws. But in terms of use, it depends on the design of the designers. Only those that meet the design requirements are good screws.
