Industry knowledge:

How to distinguish stainless steel screw from nickel plated screw?

A relatively simple way is to use a magnet to absorb the screw. If the screw is not attracted by the magnet, then the screw is stainless steel screw, otherwise it is nickel plated screw. But if the size of the screw is too small, whether it is made of stainless steel or carbon steel, the screw may be sucked up. Because stainless steel is not non-magnetic, it is weak magnetic. When the size is too small, or when the screw surface is stained with iron filings during production, it will also be sucked up. But if the size is too large, the screw made of stainless steel can not be sucked up with a magnet.
When you know more about screws, you can judge whether they are stainless steel screws or nickel plated screws by their appearance. Because the surface colors of the two are different.
